This work will illustrate the Salt Lake Public Library Building and its surroundings that are founded on the Salt Lake City in Utah; this project was created in 1999 by Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects, a New York firm and opened its doors in February 2003. Here people can appreciate the unusual and innovative construction, taking in count the original way to circulation inside and outside the building. The Salt Lake Public Library Building and Civic Plaza, reconciles existing urban precedents, the site context and the specific library program. This building was been seen as an iconic public structure that offers four accessible facades.

The main entrance to the library in an open way show people the entrance of the building with lines in the floor that make feel that the Library is the Center of the place. It establishes both the vertical circulation and primary orientation space in the building. The horizontal and vertical fulcrum of the building, anchors, defines zones, and articulates the programmatic organization.

Like a big construction of more than five floors. The vertical circulation of the building doesn’t count with any basic way of ramp; it is based in stairs that are used for steeper slopes and a long Spiral "grand staircase" this Library count too with three glass elevators that make easier the movement around the building without obstructing floor corridors or entrances.

The horizontal circulation outside the Library is made in a circular way that involve the Construction area, making of this place a private area to be; separating the city surroundings and problems aside of the library conception. The circulation inside the place count with long corridors, making people feel in a bigger place that really is. With larges and skinnies hallways the constructers decided to unite the two parts of the Library.

This construction is not just a place for study, is too a relaxing area for be every time that you want, making people feel in a pacific and neutral place made for the community reflecting and engaging the city's imagination and aspirations.
